When the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett was being vetted facts emerged that he had acquired a security studies degree from a university based in the US online. His virtual varsity was put under sharp scrutiny effectively casting doubts on the genuineness of the police boss’s academic papers.

Academic training trends are changing. Students are preferring the screen to the class.  Universities have adopted the virtual learning because it is affordable and administrators can graduate qualitatively more learners than their real classrooms can allow.

Open and Distance Learning enables users to adopt flexible study hours at their own pace. They can juggle work and part time classes when they are free. This makes virtual learning to be more efficient that the traditional class time.

These two institutions of higher learning are preferred by the young people due to their global outlook, convenience and accessibility. Their e-learning portals provide dedicated servers which act as machine teachers.

In other cases online degrees cost as low as half the cost of physical class study. Who doesn’t want to save on cost?
